This from a dear dear friend who is mothering two lovely girls:
“Lilah, coming to a new planet at age 2-1/2 (from a remote mountainous area of China to Marin County, CA) and scared to death in having a family for the first time in her little life, being read to for the first time ever, found comfort in Stone Soup. We’d read it at bedtime, and she’d want to hear it at least a dozen times per night. She learned some of her first English from that story and especially adored the cow. It was a wonderful bonding experience for both her and Mommy.”
Ann, I hope you read this and realize, probably for the gazzillionth time, how much you’ve done for so many.
